SHIKARPUR: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz [JSQM] Shikarpur started a cleanliness campaign in Shikarpur city, to protest against lack of attention by the elected representatives and district administration left the district with out civic facilities casing serious problems for the population.
The cleanliness campaign in which JSQM activists themselves cleaned all the roads and streets to draw attention towards cleanliness and several time staged protest demonstrations against NSUSC administration Shikarpur as well as the effigy was also burnt of NSUSC In-charge Shikarpur, the statement issued by the organization said.
It said Shikarpur which was teremed as Paris of Sindh due to its beatification and discipline in past is going through destruction in all ares because of non attention given by the elected representatives and district administration.
The drainage system of the city has almost collapsed and the city roads are totally destroyed which is causing serious problems of sanitation and internal traffic disturbances for the citizens to face. The North Sindh Urban Services Corporation [NSUSC] authorities Shikarpur has completely failed to ensure cleanliness in streets as well as main roads including Hathi dar, Jumani Hall, Lakhi dar chowk, station road, circular road and other public places of district Shikarpur.
In this regard, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz [JSQM] Shikarpur was started a cleanliness campaign in Shikarpur city, in which JSQM activists themselves cleaned all the roads and streets to draw attention towards cleanliness and have staged protest demonstrations many times against NSUSC administration Shikarpur.
