Gujranwala: FIA teams a
rrested four human traffickers here from Narowal and Gujranwala. Deputy Director Mufakhir Adeel stat
ed that the accused Tauseef, Amir, Imran and Nadeem were involved in sending people abroad illegally. FIA have started further investigations.
Meanwhile, CIA police have a
rrested six members of a dacoit gang and recovered cash and illegal arms. It was said that inthe last mont
h these accused entered the house of a citizen at Mohallah Islamabad and snatched 1.7 million cash and gold ornaments and fled away. Later CPO referred this case to CIA police and in the leadership of DSP Imran Abbas Chadhar the police team, after investigations, traced out the accused Fayyaz, Ali, Salman, Umer, Qasim and Rizwan and recovered 800 thousand in cash and illegal arms from them.
Separately, two persons were injured as a result of a collusion between a motorcycle and car here at G.T Road at Gakhar. It was said that Abdu
l Sattaar along with his son were riding a motorcycle when, near Gakhar, a car collided with them and both the father and the son received injuries and were rushed to DHQ hospital from where Abdu
l Sattar was referred t
o Lahore in a critical condition.
In yet another incident, Regional director anti-corruption Fareed Ahmed has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala for the removal of three municipal corporation officials including two building inspectors from their posts. Fareed Ahmed in his letter plead
ed that there were corruption allegations against the building inspector Yousaf Mughal, Usman Shafiq and surveyor incharge Husnain Haider. After an investigation, allegations leveled against them were proved and all the three officials did not satisfy the enquiry officers. He recommended in his letter that as the said officials were involved in corruption of millions of rupee, they may be removed from their posts as soon as possible.
