Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) director general Major General Asif Ghafoor on
Friday praised the professionalism displayed by the police in recent times as first responders.
The military spokesman tweeted his praise after the Sindh Police and Rangers foiled a terrorist attack on the Chi
nese Consulate in Karachi. Two policemen ASI
Ashraf Dawood and Constable Amir Khan were martyred in the attack.
“Pakistan Police Service has evolved
through testing times. Their displayed professionalism in recent times as first responders is commendable. From pre-empting the terrorism attempts to foiling these at first checking point is the testimony. Salute to our police and its martyrs,” DG ISPR tweeted.
Three terrorists were killed before they were able to enter the facilities
of the Chi
nese Consulate in Karachi.
Among the first to rush to the Chi
nese Consulate was Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Suhai Aziz. She led the security operation and received praise for her bravery from the Sindh chief minister and Inspector General Sindh Police.
